About the Artist

Leslie Golden is a California landscape painter whose work celebrates the light, atmosphere, and changing seasons of Northern California. Working primarily in oils, she is inspired by the rolling hills of Mount Diablo, coastal cliffs, oak woodlands, and the Pacific shoreline. Her paintings seek not only to capture a place, but to convey the feeling of standing within it.

Before dedicating herself to fine art, Leslie enjoyed a distinguished career as a licensed California landscape architect and urban designer. She earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design (Landscape Architecture) and a Master of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. This design background informs her paintings through strong composition, an understanding of space, and a deep appreciation for the relationship between people and the landscape.

Leslie's work balances observation with interpretation, using expressive brushwork and luminous color to create paintings that evoke mood, memory, and a sense of place. Whether portraying the golden slopes of Mount Diablo, the California coast, or iconic landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge, she strives to capture those fleeting moments when light transforms the ordinary into something extraordinary.

Her original paintings are held in private collections throughout the United States. Leslie works from her home studio in Lafayette, California, where the ever-changing views of Mount Diablo continue to inspire new work.
